During the event, the College of Education will present several awards to educators including its Retired Educator Award, Veteran Teacher Award, Outstanding New Teacher Award, Educator Working Outside the Classroom Award, Champion of Educational Opportunity Award, Distinguished Service Award, and Sallie S. Ortmann Innovative Educator Award . These awards celebrate and honor our “Champions of Education” who exhibit excellence in education or contribute mightily to their field. Funds generated by this event help our college expand on its commitment to educate and enrich our state’s learners and leaders through scholarships, professional development and service.
