UCTP Tenure and Promotions Orientation

Each spring on Reading Day, the University Committee on Tenure and Promotions offers orientations for tenure and promotion candidates and committee chairs. All pre-tenure faculty members are welcome to attend the orientation for candidates, which may also be of use for those candidates in the process of preparing files for submission. The committee chairs orientation is open not only to newly elected t&p chairs, but also to any returning chairs, as well as to those faculty interested in chairing unit t&p committees or serving on UCTP in the future.

2026 Orientations

On Tuesday, April 28, Reading Day, the University Committee on Tenure and Promotions will offer two tenure and promotion orientations, one for candidates at 9 a.m. and a second for tenure and promotion committee chairs at 11 a.m. All pre-tenure faculty members are welcome to attend the orientation for candidates, which may also be of use for those faculty in the process of preparing files for submission. The committee chairs orientation is open not only to newly elected tenure and promotion chairs, but also to any returning chairs, as well as to those faculty interested in chairing unit tenure and promotion committees or serving on UCTP in the future.
