In the Honors College, you'll be taught by the best and brightest faculty across all academic areas on campus. Not only are they experts in their fields, they will mentor you along your path as they assist you with undergraduate research, encourage you through applying for a national fellowship and serve as your senior thesis director.
Our Pearce Faculty Fellows are also a vital and unique part of the Honors College family. During their two-year appointment, fellows teach, cultivate and develop Honors courses, mentor our students, participate in the national fellowships process and advise the dean on curriculum and other Honors matters.
PEN/Faulkner Award winner Claire Jiménez has a knack for helping students across different majors discover their voices and appreciate a well-told story through writing workshops and a collaborative classroom environment.
Housed within the Honors College, Honors students have direct access to USC’s national fellowships staff who have guided Gamecock students to earn over $38 million in awards.
Graduation from the Honors College requires the completion of your Honors course credits in six different categories, as well as the completion and successful defense of a senior thesis or project.
