Rising on the historic site of the McBryde Quadrangle, The Commons at Carolina Community will become one of the most exciting new additions to the University of South Carolina campus when it opens in Fall 2028. This six-story living and learning community is thoughtfully designed to support connection, academic success and the vibrant student experience that defines Carolina.

The community will feature a mix of pod-style and suite-style living options, giving students flexible housing choices within a modern residential environment. At the heart of the building, a dynamic residential hub will serve as the center of student life providing welcoming spaces for studying, collaboration and community building.

Located in the center of campus and steps from the Thomas Cooper Library, The Commons at Carolina Residential Community places students at the crossroads of academic life, campus engagement and the best of Carolina. Designed to foster community, belonging, and academic achievement, The Commons at Carolina will be the newest home for generations of Gamecocks to live, learn, and thrive.
